Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concerts
Each holiday season, the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra hosts two holiday concerts. Sing Along with Santa is part of their Family Series. The Holiday Pops Concert is for all ages and is hosted at the large Hill Auditorium to accommodate a large audience.
Sing Along with Santa
The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra’s Sing Along with Santa is at 4p on Saturday, December 6. The concert will be held at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ on 4th Ave in Ann Arbor (just south of William). My daughter and I attended Sing Along with Santa last year and had so much fun joining in the singing and learning about the instruments.
Admission is $12 for adults and $8 for children. There is also a family package available that is $35 for up to 6 family members. Sing Along with Santa tickets are available for purchase on the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra website or by calling 734-994-4801.
The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Pops Concert is on Friday, December 12 at 7p. The Holiday Pops concert is at Hill Auditorium. Special guests at the Holiday Pops concert include The Boychoir of Ann Arbor, Measure for Measure, and the Huron and Pioneer School Choirs. Kids are sure to be thrilled for the Holiday Pops Concert which will feature music from Disney’s Frozen…I can already hear the kids excitement to hear “Let it Go” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman”.
Tickets for the Holiday Pops concert range from $10 to $45. Students receive a 50% discount on tickets in sections A-D. Tickets are available for purchase on the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra website or by calling 734-994-4801.
Volunteer at Holiday Pops

Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Holiday Gift Ideas
The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra season does not end with the holiday concerts. They will be holding more concerts in 2015. Tickets for a concert would be a good gift for a family or the music lover on your list.
For families, the final concert of the Benard L. Maas 2014-2015 Family Concert Series is “Disney in Concert” on March 22 at Michigan Theater. My daughter has had her eye on this show since it was announced at the final Family Concert last year. A way to make the gift more “fun” would be to include a Disney music CD when gifting tickets.
For adults, there are several main stage concerts in the new year including Mozart Birthday Bash on January 31, Absolut Russian on March 21, and Mahler 5 on April 25. They also offer the Chamber Recital Series.
