Ann Arbor Civic Theatre Presents Addams Family
Ann Arbor Civic Theatre will be presenting Addams Family this September. The play is a great way to introduce your older kids to the classic story of the Addams Family. When I received the press release, I asked about a recommended age. They said that they consider the play to be PG/PG-13, so use your judgement as to whether your children are the right age for the show.
They will have 4 shows from Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 13:

A2CT’S CREEPY, KOOKY ADDAMS FAMILY AT MENDELSSOHN
Ann Arbor Civic Theatre presents the new musical The Addams Family, directed by Trisha Fountain, September 10-13, 2015, at UM’s Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre, 911 N. University, Ann Arbor, 48109. Performances are Thursday at 7:30 pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, with a 2pm matinee on Sunday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday tickets are $25, with tickets at $22 for seniors and $13 for students. On Thursday only, all seats are $19, with $13 tickets for students. Tickets and information are available online at www.a2ct.org, through the A2CT office at 734-971-2228, or at the door of the theater before each performance.
In this darkly comic musical, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. Everything will change for the Addams family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
“What I love about this musical,” says director Trisha Fountain, “is its ability to take a set of characters that most people know and love as caricatures or cartoons and bring them to life in a way that makes them relatable in today’s world.”
