Ann Arbor Civic Theatre Holding Auditions for Junior Theatre’s Snow Queen

The Ann Arbor Civic Theatre’s Junior Theatre will be performing The Snow Queen at the beginning of December. The show will be held on Friday, December 5 (7:30p), Saturday, December 6 (1 & 7:30p), and Sunday, December 7 (1 & 3p). Performances will be at the Children’s Creative Center.

They will be holding auditions for 25 roles on Sunday, September 28 at 1p and Monday, September 29 at 3:30p. Callbacks will be on Tuesday, September 30 at 4p. Auditions are open to kids in grades 4-12. Auditions will be held at the A2CT Rehearsal Studio at 322 W. Ann St.

Ann Arbor Civic Theatre announces auditions for its Junior Theatre production of Snow Queen, directed by Kat Altman. Auditions take place Sunday, September 28 at 1pm and Monday, September 29 at 3:30pm. Callbacks, if needed, are Tuesday, September 30 at 4:00pm. Those auditioning for either show should attend one of the two regular audition dates and should be available for callbacks. No pre-registration is required. All auditions take place at the A2CT Rehearsal Studio, 322 W. Ann St., Ann Arbor, MI, 48104.

Snow Queen, by Stacey Lane, is an original adaptation of the delightful story by Hans Christian Anderson, on which the hit movie Frozen is based. Young heroine Gerda sets out to find her best friend Kai after the magic mirror of an evil queen brings out the worst in Kai and he flees to the Snow Queen’s palace. Along the way, Gerda encounters good, evil, and a host of really funny talking animals. There are roles for up to 25 young actors in GRADES 4rth-12th. Auditions consist of theater games and cold readings from the script. Production dates are December 5-7, 2014.
