My family loves MARVEL movies. My husband and I have enjoyed re-watching older MARVEL movies with our daughter as she has gotten older and taking her to see the movies in theaters. Fantastic Four is opening on August 7, the last comic book movie of the summer. To celebrate, we had a Fantastic Four Night last night. To create a Fantastic Four Night, I had to needed to plan a menu, an activity, and decorations.
Fantastic Four Night Menu
Our favorite “treat” dinner is a dinner of appetizers. It is a perfect idea for Fantastic Four Night since it would allow us to pick one dish for each of the Fantastic Four, plus Dr Doom. From now until August 15, you can receive a movie ticket to see Fantastic Four with the purchase of two select Tyson® Any’Tizers® products at Walmart. We decided there was no more fitting way to celebrate Fantastic Four Night than getting a ticket to see the movie, so we decided to incorporate two different Tyson® Any’Tizers® into our menu. Tyson® Any’Tizers® are super easy to prepare which makes for a great movie night meal.
Even though my daughter and I are not big fans of spicy food, Tyson® Any’Tizers® Buffalo Boneless Wyngz are a natural choice for Johnny Storm aka Human Torch due to his fiery nature. I knew my husband would eat the Buffalo Boneless Wyngz, so I went ahead and bought them. Meanwhile the Tyson® Any’Tizers® Honey BBQ Boneless Wyngz are an item that we regularly buy, and my daughter and I both independently decided that they would be a great representation of Ben Grimm/Thing. There are plenty of other Tyson® Any’Tizers® options to select from, so you can customize your own dinner to match the Fantastic Four characters.
We needed a few dishes besides chicken, so my daughter immediately suggested Mozzarella Sticks to represent Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic because they both stretch. We had a little more trouble coming up with a good dish to represent Sue Storm/Invisible Woman. One idea that we came up with was a drink. However, instead of having the drink disappear, we would make it appear. We bought liquid water-flavoring hoping that they would also tint our water and make it reappear.
The only problem with our menu so far was that it did not include any fruits or vegetables. That’s when my daughter found fried green beans. Their green color made them a perfect choice to represent Dr Doom/Victor Domashev, particularly his energy bolts.
So our suggestion for a Fantastic Four menu are:
- Human Torch’s Tyson Any’tizer Buffalo Boneless Wyngz
- Thing’s Tyson Any’tizer Honey BBQ Boneless Wyngz
- Mr. Fantastic’s Stretchy Mozzarella Sticks
- Dr. Doom’s Energy Bolt Fried Green Beans
- Invisible Woman’s Reappearing Water
What else would you suggest?
Invisible Woman’s Reappearing Water
Invisible Woman’s Reappearing Water is very easy to make.
I placed a drop of food coloring on a plastic lid.
Pour water into the glass and watch it appear:
Entertainment for Fantastic Four Night
Now that we had our menu decided, it was time to look for the rest of our Fantastic Four night. We already own both Fantastic Four movies, so I was hoping to find the 2006 cartoon on DVD or BluRay. I was not able to find them, but a quick check of iTunes showed me that a season pass was available on iTunes. So with the purchase of an iTunes gift card, we can watch the series on our AppleTV.
Entertainment options for your Fantastic Four Night are:
- Fantastic Four (2005)
- Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)
- Fantastic Four World’s Greatest Heroes TV series (2006)
Accessories for Fantastic Four Night
A trip through the party aisle helped us round out the purchases for our Fantastic Four Night. I found these awesome clear 4 part serving trays that would make perfect “plates” for our TV watching night with one compartment for each of the 4 dishes. I bought 3 of them, one for each member of our family of 3.
I also purchased 4 small (3.5×5) picture frames to use for menu cards. I can’t believe I never thought of buying frames to use for menu cards before! They are so much easier than trying to fold cardstock into tents. I used images of the character posters to create the menu cards.
Our Fantastic Four Night accessories included:
- 4 compartment trays or plates
- Picture Frames
- Menu Cards
Our Fantastic Four Night
We had a great time at our Fantastic Four Night. My daughter made sure to wear her MARVEL Girls Rule t-shirt that includes Sue Storm along with other female Marvel characters (including Black Widow and Scarlet Witch form this summer’s Avengers: Age of Ultron).
We all enjoyed our meal. The Tyson® Any’Tizers® Buffalo Boneless Wyngz were not as spicy as I feared that they would be and I enjoyed them. My daughter still found them too spicy for her taste. We all enjoyed the Tyson® Any’Tizers® Honey BBQ Boneless Wyngz which was not a surprise as we have bought them several times in the past.
We enjoyed watching some of the episodes of Fantastic Four World’s Greatest Heroes. We only used a portion of our food, so we’ll have to have another Fantastic Four Night to watch more episodes before the August 7 release of Fantastic Four.
Get Your Fantastic Four Ticket
The last step of our Fantastic Four Night is redeeming our Movie Ticket. Be sure to read the simple instructions for redemption for the list of participating products. Basically, you just need to:
- Buy 2 participating Tyson Any’Tizers at Walmart between June 15 and August 15
- Email or text a photo of your Walmart receipt to email@example.com
- Redeem the provided code at tysonmovieoffer.com and redeem by September 30, 2015
I recommend either copying or triple checking the address since I texted my receipt to the wrong address twice. Once I finally sent it to the proper address, I received a text back promptly that it was being processed. I received my redemption code within an hour.
Which Tyson® Any’Tizers® products would you pick to represent the members of the Fantastic Four?
